Proposed copyright exceptions allowing AI companies to use works without the permission of creators and rights-holders will be scrapped.
Submissions are welcomed from songwriters around the world aged 8-18, with entries closing 31 March.

Supported by PRS for Music and PRS Foundation, the competition gives new UK and Ireland-based acts the chance at a slot on one of the Festival’s main stages.
Winners of The New Voices Singing Competition will share in a prize fund of £7,000 and may receive performance slots at associated festivals.
This year’s virtual event will take place on 21 February, with AIM Sync Awards winners also set to be revealed.
Featuring re-imagined works by Dan Samsa, NikNak, Carmel Smickersgill and felix taylor, the EP will be released on 27 January.
