PRS for Music is to host a series of educational panels in Sunderland, Sheffield, Cardiff and Brighton as part of Independent Venue Week (IVW).

The free events will be held in conjunction with fellow IVW sponsors PPL and BASCA and feature their experts as well as local industry leaders offering advice and discussion.

PRS for Music and PPL will be hosting two regional panels for emerging artists at leading independent venues The Independent in Sunderland (Monday 23 January) and The Harley in Sheffield (Tuesday 24 January).

PRS for Music and BASCA will also be hosting two regional workshops focusing on the music business and the art of DIY at indie venues The Big Top in Cardiff (Wednesday 25 January) and Komedia in Brighton (Friday 27 January).

Attendees at all four events will be able to hear about the benefits of joining both organisations, how to protect your rights and generating income from your music.

There will be a ticket giveaway for the local shows at each city on the tour as part of IVW.
