Attenborough and Björk: The Nature of Music, a Channel 4 documentary exploring how humans and animals interact with music, will be broadcast this Saturday (27 July).

Made by Pulse Films, the hour-long documentary will show the broadcaster Sir David Attenborough and sonic auteur Bjork discussing their mutual passion for both music and the natural world.

The film, which is directed by Louise Hooper, will be broadcast at 19:00 on Saturday (27 July) and feature Bjork’s much lauded multi-media project Biophilia. Her latest work has been aimed at exploring the point at which nature, technology and music meet.

Sir David Attenborough will talk through his lifelong love for music and illustrate how music exists in the natural world.

The pair previously worked together back in 2011 at the Manchester International Festival when the broadcaster narrated during her residency at the event.

Recent work by Pulse Films include videos for the likes of Katy Perry, Flying Lotus and Foals.

Bjork recently announced she will be returning to the UK for a live gig at Alexandra Palace as part of her Biophilia tour.
