July 2024 Distribution update
Over £177 million in royalties paid out in July 2024
That’s £15 million more than in July last year.
In the second major distribution of 2024, we’re paying out over £177 million in royalties, 9% more than in July last year.
Royalties from on-demand video services (GEOL) are up by 9%, thanks to increased subscriber numbers from the likes of Netflix and Disney+, and new services including Starzplay and Shudder.
International royalties, including society payments from SIAE (Italy), SGAE (Spain) and ASCAP (USA) are up by 40%.
Live performance royalties are up 28%, boosted by UK shows from PRS members including Take That, Keane, Elbow and Muse.
Royalties from Cruise Ships are up 22% due to revenue growth from improved license deals.
