Who is licensing my online royalties

As a member of PRS we license your performing online rights directly for multiple territories across the world. However, if your music is published, your rights may fall under multi-territory licensing deals arranged by your publisher instead.

Regardless of the licensing arrangements, we still distribute your online performing royalties, so you can continue to contact us with any queries.

Find out who is licensing your repertoire for online uses below.

United Kingdom, Akrotiri and Dhekelia, Anguilla, Ascension Island, Bahamas, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, Brunei, Cayman Island, Cyprus, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Malta, Montserrat, Pitcairn Islands, South Georgia & the South Sandwich Islands, St. Helena, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Guyana, Mauritius, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, and Sri Lanka.

For usage outside of the MCPS home territories, your mechanical rights are licensed by the society in that territory. E.g., if you have a work streamed in Spain, your performing rights are licensed by us and your mechanical rights are licensed by the Spanish society, SGAE.

Your performing rights will be licensed on a multi-territory basis by us, regardless if you are published or unpublished.

If you are not a member of MCPS, PRS for Music does not collect income related to your mechanical rights. If you are earning significant PRS income from online usage you might want to consider joining MCPS directly if you are not a member of another mechanical rights collecting society.
