AIM, Women in CTRL and Amazon Music launch new apprenticeship scheme

The scheme will enable six independent labels to hire a label assistant apprentice for 15 months.

The re-elections were announced at a BPI Independent member meeting on 16 November.

Over 150 PRS members have been nominated or contributed to nominated works across 38 categories.

Seven UK artists have been selected for the initiative, with 30 additional UK-based creatives receiving grant funding.

Indie labels’ share of the UK music market was 28.6 percent during the first 10 months of 2022, up from 26.9 percent for the whole of 2021.

The ceremony took place on Friday 11 November at new home Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.

The 25th anniversary celebration will take place on 30 November at OVO Arena Wembley.

UK artists have been backed with close to £5 million in exports investment since the launch of the Music Export Growth Scheme in 2014.

The ceremony will take place in November at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival 7.30pm at Bates Hall.
