Martin ‘Youth’ Glover has been confirmed for the keynote interview at this year’s Wide Days music conference in Edinburgh.

Taking place 22-23 April, the event will see the legendary producer, songwriter and artist in conversation with Wide Days founder Olaf Furniss in a special workshop supported by PRS for Music and BASCA.

Youth will talk about his career, numerous collaborations and forthcoming exhibition. He started out as the bass player for post-punks Killing Joke, before going on to work with a huge range of artists including Pink Floyd, The Orb, Primal Scream, The Verve, U2, Texas, Paul McCartney, Bananarama, and Guns’N’Roses.

Commenting, Olaf said: ‘Youth is an amazing addition to our programme and brings an incredible insight into music and other art forms.

‘It is rare to get a perspective from someone who is a musician, producer and co-writer - as well as a visual artist.’

In addition to the keynote, Youth will also take part in the A&R You Brave Enough? feedback session. Other workshops over the two days include CMU’s Dissecting the Digital Dollar and Meet PPL.
