The Women of the World (WOW) series celebrating music from around the globe written by female composers is to return to London.
Six events will take place on Saturday 20 September and Saturday 18 October showcasing a mix of Brazilian, Jewish, Indian and African music.
The Commander-in-Chief, Craig Ogden, Benyounes String Quartet, London Klezmer Quartet and Monica Vasconcelos are among the composers and musicians participating in the 2014 Series.
According to organisers, the opening night will combine musical traditions from Europe, India, Africa and the Caribbean. There will be six newly commissioned world premieres by Jenni Roditi, Errollyn Wallen, Bryon Wallen, Jackie Walduck, Orphy Robinson and Priti Paintal.
The second night will see performances from the Equator's Women of the World Choral Concert, a duel between Craig Ogden and the Commander-in-Chief and Monica Vasconcelos.
