The Green Man Festival is now calling for applications from new bands and artists as part of its Green Man Rising competition.
New artists have until 31 May 2016 to make their submissions to play this year's event. All entries need to include a photo, audio and recent biography.
The winner will get the chance to perform at the festival’s Mountain Stage at this year’s Green Man on a bill alongside the likes of Belle and Sebastian, James Blake and Wild Beasts.
After submissions have been received, the festival organisers will chose 20 semi-finalists with a select group of key tastemakers, blogs and sites - these have previously included CMJ Music Marathon, SXSW, The 405, Goldflake Paint, London On The Inside, Too Many Blogs, Dots and Dashes, Shiny Shiny New, A Sound Reaction, Too Many Blogs, and So Young Magazine.
From the semi-finalists, five artists will be picked to play at the final at the Dublin Castle in London on 15 June in front of industry tastemakers.
