Declan Welsh & The Decadent West, Emme Woods and Vistas are among the artists lined up for the Wide Days live showcases.

Taking place in Edinburgh on 21 April, the Wide Days showcases will be held at Teviot Row House, La Belle Angele and the Liquid Rooms.

Presented in partnership with Eventbrite and supported by the PRS Foundation, the shows will provide a snapshot of some of Scotland’s most exciting emerging acts.

Michael Lambert, event co-director, said: ‘Wide Days has established a reputation for showcasing some great emerging acts and this year is no exception.

‘We’ve seen many of our previous performers go on to tour internationally, sign record deals and build careers in the industry. Our aim is to help 2017’s artists follow in their footsteps.’

Joe Frankland, PRS Foundation senior grants and programmes manager, said: ‘We’re delighted to be supporting the award-winning Wide Days music convention in Scotland to expand the development opportunities on offer for the talented music creators that will be showcasing.

‘I look forward to seeing the impact this support will have on the careers of those taking part.’

Previous performers include Honeyblood, C Duncan, Fatherson, Be Charlotte, Elle Exxe and award-winning Kathryn Joseph.

The showcase gigs are open to the public and a limited number of free tickets are available via Eventbrite which is partnering on the showcase.
