South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the most important events in the musical calendar, and this year it will host 18 UK acts funded by British Music Abroad, along with countless others who will showcase their talent to an international audience.
To celebrate, we’ll be talking to some of the acts who are journeying to Austin, Texas for the event, and bringing you all the latest news and updates from the frontline.
British Music Abroad, a partnership between PRS for Music Foundation, UK Trade and Investment, Arts Council England and British Underground, provides crucial support to talented UK musicians who’ve been invited to perform at SXSW but need financial help to get there. It is involved in various showcases over in Texas, and with help from PRS for Music’s Andy Harrower and Jules Parker, we’ll be reporting from them over the coming week.
We’ll be bringing you all the latest from the following events…
