Warner/Chappell Music has received the 2016 Music Publisher of the Year accolade at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.
The ceremony took place at a ceremony in Los Angeles last night (Thursday), at which 26 of the publisher’s songwriters picked up Most Performed Song of the Year awards.
Jon Platt, chief executive and chairman of Warner/Chappell, said: ‘It’s an absolute honour to work alongside these incredibly talented songwriters who defined the sound of R&B and hip-hop over the past year.
‘The ASCAP Publisher of the Year award belongs to them, and I speak for the entire Warner/Chappell staff when I say what a pleasure it is to see these remarkable songwriters work their musical and lyrical magic, and go on to top the charts and receive so many richly deserved accolades.’
