UK Music today launched a survey for creators that it hopes will give them a better understanding of the economic landscape of the music industry.

The pandemic has meant the past two years have been incredibly tough for music creators, with many struggling to make ends meet.

As the collective voice for the UK music industry, they have launched a survey to collect the data needed to make the case to Government for support and highlight the full extent of the pandemic’s impact on the industry.

The survey helps UK Music identify and understand key trends as well as documenting the day-to-day reality for music creators as the industry tries to rebuild.

Most important of all, the survey allows UK Music to recognise and acknowledge the value of creators’ work – and gives them evidence to help fight for your interests. The survey will form a key part of UK Music’s annual report, the key document used by policymakers and industry professionals when discussing the music industry and its future. Read last year's report.

UK Music is asking for personal data but all responses are confidential, and managed in accordance with GDPR legislation.

The survey is open to full-time and part-time professional music creators, this includes artists, composers, writers, engineers and producers. Whilst your answers will remain anonymous, by answering the survey and as a thank you for your time, you’ll be in with the chance to win a £100 voucher for Amazon, GAK or PMT music store.
