Disclosure, Arctic Monkeys and Rudimental are among the acts shortlisted for this year’s UK Festival Awards.
The two dance acts, who were both nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, were shortlisted in the anthem of the summer and breakthrough act of the year categories.
Alex Turner’s Sheffield rockers were also listed for the anthem of the summer award as well as headline performance of the year for their set on the Friday night of Glastonbury.
Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Creamfields and Global Gathering will compete against each other for the accolade of best major festival.
James Drury, UK Festival Awards director, said: ‘We’ve seen one of the most vibrant seasons in 2013, line-ups have featured a huge number of must-see and incredible new acts.
‘Alongside that talent legends like Rolling Stones and mega-stars like Eminem returned to the stage. Again we’ve beaten the record of votes cast with 575,000 received this year and we can’t wait to reveal the favourites of the festival-going public.’
Winners will be announced at the 10 year anniversary of the UK Festival Awards at London’s Roundhouse on Monday 2 December.
