Legendary reggae band UB40 were the recipients of the eighth PRS for Music Heritage Award at the site of their very first live performance - The Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath, Birmingham on Tuesday 4 October. The PRS for Music Heritage Awards recognise iconic British band's first gigs and the venues that hosted the events.
Hundreds of fans lined the street in the Birmingham suburb to witness the unveiling of the award - a specially-designed plaque by PRS Chairman Guy Fletcher. Following the unveiling, 70 fans were treated to a unique six-song set upstairs at The Hare and Hounds. The band paid tribute to the venue and it's manager, Adam Regan for making the pub a fantastic destination for live music fans.
