London music hub Tileyard Studios has expanded Tileyard Education, a facility for the hands-on training of new generation music producers and artists.
Over the last few months, the facility has added a suite of new vocational courses centred round commercial songwriting skills, production techniques and music industry entrepreneurship.
It now offers a range of study options, from full time, one-year MA programmes to short courses in audio production, design and digital marketing.
The teaching and professional training hub is housed in Tileyard’s on-site recording studio, tech lab, production songwriting rooms and lecture space.
Tileyard Education also offers a growing database of online, interactive courses, created with partner MusicGurus, which allow students to upload works for real-time feedback and advice.
Among the teaching and support staff at the facility are Martyn Ware, Tileyard Education principal and Human League and Heaven 17 lynchpin.
Also on board to assist students’ development are award-winning producer and engineer Goetz Botzenhardt and producer Paul Whalley (Mumford and Sons, Ellie Goulding).
Find out more at www.tileyardeducation.co.uk.
Tileyard Education also offers free open sessions with Q&As, advice and A&R playbacks. The next one takes place on 20 July. Find out more and apply for your free space at https://www.theticketfairy.com/event/meet-the-producers-with-paul-whalley-and-michael-angelo-20jul2017/
