The accolade will be presented at the NI Music Prize ceremony, which will also see one local act take the gong for Best Album of the Last 12 Months.
Northern Irish alt-rockers Therapy? formed in 1989 and have released 13 studio albums, including their landmark 1994 LP Troublegum.
To mark their award, they will perform the set in its entirety at the ceremony on 15 November at Mandela Hall.
The event marks the end of Sound of Belfast programme, which has been running in the city since 7 November.
