Warner/Chappell Music have announced that they have signed a global deal with pop-group The Vamps.

The boy band signed the deal with the publishing arm of Warner Music Group yesterday in London ahead of a coast-to-coast US tour in promotion of their new album.

Released earlier this month, The Day Edition of Night & Day is currently in the race for Number One album in the UK according to figures from the Official Charts Company.

This new deal comes after The Vamps parted with Mercury Records in 2015 to start their own label, Steady Records, in partnership with Universal Music and EMI Recordings.

In 2017 the band enjoyed their first UK Number One album with the release of their ‘Night Edition’ of Concept Album Night & Day.

The Vamps said: ‘We’ve always written songs for our albums and we also love collaborating with other songwriters.  Whenever we have down time on the road, we start writing.  It’s amazing to work with Mike Smith again and we can’t wait to team up with songwriters and artists working in every type of genre from hip-hop to Nashville. It’s an exciting new chapter for the band.’

Mike Smith, managing director of Warner/Chappell Music UK., said: ‘I first met The Vamps when I signed them on the label side more than five years ago.  What marked them out from the start was that they were amazing songwriters as well as performers.  I can’t wait to get them working with the best songwriters in the world.  They’ve got a truly global perspective and it’s going to be an exciting ride.’
