Presenting International Achievement Award is Coldplay's Chris Martin. The calibre of presenters this year is amazing.

And the winner is...Kilburn boy, Gavin Rossdale, of Bush. Immense international success. Many forget he's British. Few bands have had so much success outside of their own backyard as Bush.

Sadly Gwen Stefani isn’t with him to celebrate today. Wonder what she'd have worn?

Chris Martin: ' Bush are so popular in the USA they named two presidents after him.'

Gavin Rossdale: 'This room is full of dreams, we never really know the power of that. To be in a room full of contemporaries - amazing songwriters - is a real honour... I write songs. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to all the great musicians I have worked with.'

3:30pm

One of the most anticipated awards next, Songwriter of The Year, presented by Pete Tong.

Well no surprise there, it's Calvin Harris. What an amazing year he’s had. Could anyone else have collected this award?

Pete Tong: 'Many writers of dance music never really believed they belonged in this room.' They do now!

Calvin Harris: 'I can't believe I was let in the door today. This award is easily the greatest acheivement of my entire life!'

3:39pm

Onstage to present Outstanding Song Collection is Ray Davies of The Kinks. One of Britain's most loved songwriters. And he's been a recipient of the PRS for Music Outstanding Contribution to British Music Award.

So anyway, the Outstanding Song Collection Award goes to Noel Gallagher – surprised he hasn’t had more Ivors.

George Martin calls him the finest songwriter of his generation.

3:47pm

The final award is the PRS for Music Special International Award, presented by Peter Gabriel and PRS Chairman Guy Fletcher. Peter took a year off to be with his family but broke that break just to present this award.

The award goes to the incredible Randy Newman. Amazing career and what a sharp, fearless songwriter!

Randy Newman has had 20 - yes 20 - Oscar nominations, and is widely regarded as one of the finest songwriters of all time.

Peter Gabriel on Randy Newman: 'We have to either celebrate such an extraordinary talent - or kill him off. Let's celebrate.'

Randy Newman looks overwhelmed. 'Amazing to be in same room as Ray Davies and Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie... Winning this award is a great honour; I'm touched'.
