UK rapper and singer Plan B and rock band Everything, Everything (pictured) lead the nominations for this year’s Ivor Novello Awards, the British Academy of Songwriters and Composers revealed this morning. Both are up for two awards each - Plan B is nominated in the PRS for Music Most Performed Work section for She Said and is pitted against Everything Everything in the Album Award category. Everything Everything are also nominated for Best Song Musically and Lyrically with MY KZ, UR BF.
The Ivors are presented by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers (BASCA) in association with PRS for Music. The lunchtime award ceremony will take place on Thursday 19 May 2011 at Grosvenor House in London.
The Ivors are presented annually to celebrate, honour and reward excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing. The awards are presented and judged by the songwriting and composing community and are considered amongst the most important awards for music creators.
