The Great Escape has announced its four day Insights Programme exploring blockchain, transparency, CDs & merch, YouTube and video content.

Running 19-21 May in Brighton, the conference will see Benji Rogers from PledgeMusic present a keynote on the much talked of blockchain technology.

His address will outline how he believes new technologies could power a prolific music database to make payments for creators fairer and quicker.

CMU’s Chris Cooke will provide a Beginners Guide To The Blockchain, explaining how digital data and revenue currently works its way through the system, and identifying what questions need to be asked of digital services, labels, publishers and collecting societies.

As part of a YouTube focus, Vevo's Tom Connaughton will delve into how artists, labels and promoters can create video content that really engages and excites fans.

A DIY programme featuring DJ/producer John ‘00’ Fleming and DICE’s Jen Long will investigate how artists stage shows and use digital channels to reach wider audiences.
