The programme will provide successful applicants with the opportunity to learn from course leaders and mentors, and develop new musical ideas and practices. Learning will culminate in the creation of a new work, to be premiered at the end of the course.
Mentors include renowned composers Peter Wiegold, Martin Butler, Sam Lee, Howard Skempton and Rajana Ghatak.
Twelve chosen artists will have access to workshops and masterclasses, where they will gain first hand professional experience. They'll also have the chance to develop business relationships through a wide range of Club Inégales initiatives and events.
Applications are welcomed from singer songwriters, composers, performing poets, creative classical performers, sonic artists, plus world, folk and jazz musicians.
The deadline is 17 August 2015. Interviews will be held on 11 and 12 September at Club Inégales, 180 North Gower Street, London.
The programme begins on 24 October 2015 and will run until June 2016 and has received support from Arts Council England, Brunel University London and Hodge, Jones & Allen, who together cover most of the costs.
However, successful applicants will be expected to make a contribution towards costs of £450.
