Calling all songwriters, composers, producers and more - UK Music is calling on you to take part in its latest Measuring Music survey on the health of the music industry.
Measuring Music is compiled annually to assess the health of the industry in the UK, gathering economic data and feedback from those working within the business.
It allows UK Music to map the music economy, analyse trends and document the day-to-day conditions for those working within it.
The input of performers, writers, composers, producers, engineers and managers is vital to the survey, building the economic case for the industry. The data gathered feeds into UK Music’s work including efforts to fight threats to grassroots venues, lobbying the Treasury for tax incentives and protecting intellectual property rights among many things.
Jo Dipple, UK Music chief executive, said: ‘Music is the engine room of the creative economy and this report gives us the hard statistics which feed into how we negotiate the best policies for the future.’
Those who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw, with a chance to win an Elektron Digitakt drum computer, a Sontronics Aria microphone and Sennheiser HD 800 headphones.
