Indie pop duo Summer Camp are to headline Club Attitude, an annual live music event set up to improve deaf and disabled people’s access to gigs.
The pair will follow in the musical footsteps of Slow Club and Wave Pictures when they take top billing at the night at Islington Assembly Hall on Wednesday 26 March.
Paul Hawkins and The Awkward Silences and the Art Club will both play as support acts while XFM’s John Kennedy will also be DJing.
Jeremy Warmsley, one half of Summer Camp, said: ‘It's absolutely shocking that some venues just don't take accessibility into account, and that's why it's so great to be able to play Club Attitude and raise awareness about it.’
Club Attitude is hosted by Attitude is Everything, a charity set up to improve Deaf and disabled people’s access to live music.
The charity use the event to raise awareness of accessibility issues for deaf and disabled music fans and demonstrate to the music industry how to put on fully accessible gigs.
