Grime artist Stormzy was among the winners at the Southbank’s Sky Arts Awards.

Taking place at a ceremony in London yesterday (5 June), the awards are now in their twentieth year and presented to recognise ‘the very best of British culture and achievement’.

Stormzy, a UK grime artist seen as spearheading a revival in the scene, was named as winner of the Times Breakthrough Award winner.

Other songwriters and composers to be honoured on the evening included Liverpool composer Mark Simpson for his work The Immortal.

Mercury Prize winning Benjamin Clementine was also named as the winner of the Pop Award.
