Spotify has confirmed it now has over 60 million paying subscribers – its fastest 10 million subscriber gain yet.

The streaming giant announced the July 2017 figure on its About page, following news in March that it had reached the 50 million milestone. It also confirmed it has over 140 million active users as of June 2017, along with over two billion playlists.

Although the increase means its subscriber count is growing faster than ever, its latest annual results revealed that its losses are overtaking revenue growth, with 2016's sales up 52 percent but losses increasing by 133 percent.
