Spotify’s Kevin Brown and the Featured Artist Coalition’s (FAC) Crispin Hunt will both be speaking at the BPI’s Annual General Meeting.

The pair will address the organisation’s members when the AGM takes place on 4 September.

Kevin Brown is Spotify’s head of label relations and will discuss the role of the streaming and subscription service as a marketing tool for songwriters and artists.

His role at the business involves liaising with major and independent labels to help create artist-focused initiatives.

Crispin Hunt, one time singer songwriter with Britpop band The Longpigs, is now co-CEO of the FAC. His address will focus on the opportunities for the music industry to re-brand itself in the digital age.

He is also an acclaimed songwriter who has worked with the likes of Jake Bugg, Rihanna, and Cee Lo Green to Florence + the Machine.

The formal proceedings of the AGM, including hustings to elect BPI council members, will take place during the event.

The meeting will be held at the BPI’s County Hall offices from 14.00.
