Spotify, the music streaming and subscription service, is partnering with BandPage to offer a new way for artists to sell directly to fans.
The collaboration will see songwriters and bands now able to connect with their audience by providing merchandise and other experiences such as tickets to secret shows through an integrated BandPage/Spotify profile page.
J Sider, founder and chief executive officer of BandPage, said: ‘For so long, musicians haven’t effectively been able to reach their fans with the right merch and VIP experiences across major streaming services.’
‘This partnership opens up a new revenue stream that enables musicians to sell directly to 40 million fans at the moment they are most engaged and listening to a musician’s song.’
Examples of the integration include an exclusive online concert from recent number one artist Ariana Grande and a one off koozie and t-shirt bundle from Miranda Lambert.

BandPage is a central profile that is used by over 500,000 musicians to engage and sell to fans across the largest music services in the world.
