Karousel Music is hosting its first music industry speed dating event of 2016 in March.

Taking place at the Phoenix Club in London on 21 March, the event will give aspiring artists, managers and music industry professionals the opportunity to meet industry experts and build their network of contacts.

Key experts attending include Alex Branson & Nisha Vadiavaloo (Ingrooves), Paul Barton, Joe Morrison and Anna Mason from PledgeMusic, Sacha Taylor-Cox from Impressive PR and Help Musician UK’s Christine Brown.

The event finishes with a three-act showcase with Help Musicians UK's Emerging Artists Fund recipients Pat Dam Smyth and He Is A Pegasus. Joel Sarakula will also be performing.

Chris Sheehan, Karousel Music director, told Help Musicians UK: ‘Everything we do at Karousel is formed around the experiences we had as artists. I remember what it was like as an unsigned artist moving to London, knowing nobody.

‘With more and more artists taking the DIY route, contacts and networks are more important than ever, so we try and put on as many events as we can that can bring artists into contact with the people who keep the music business ticking over.’
