Sound System Culture, a new exhibition celebrating the history of the reggae sound systems, is to launch in London in January.

The exhibition will run from 5 January - 17 January at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill and is the final edition after visiting Bristol and Birmingham.

The tour was developed by historian Mandeep Samra following the positive response to her 2013 project documenting the reggae sound systems of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Together with writer John Masouri, the team brings together a visually exciting exhibition that charts the development of the London scene through photographs and archive footage.

The tour ends with a live event, ska2ROOTS, held in association with Monkeybiz Management on Saturday 30 January 2016 at the Ibex Venue in Stockwell, featuring the legendary Sir Coxsone Outernational, South London sound system I Spy and a guest appearance by Dennis Bovell.
