She Drew The Gun, Shakka and Elle Exxe are among seven acts playing showcases in South Korea courtesy of Liverpool's Sound City.
The independent festival is working with Zandari Festa and MU:CON to host official showcases of British artists at these festivals in Seoul this October .
Zandari Festa, South Korea’s largest music showcase festival, takes place in Hongdae, the centre for youth culture in Seoul. MU:CON is one of the largest music conferences and global music showcases in Asia, including networking programmes to stimulate artists' global expansion and music business.
Sound City is the UK’s leading independent festival for emerging talent and is recognised as a market leader in championing new British music and business talent on a global platform.
Atlas Wynd, Coquin Migale, I Set The Sea On Fire and Sugarmen will also be performing as part of the initiative.
Becky Ayres, Sound City chief operating officer, said: ‘It’s a very exciting time for English and Korean music right now and Sound City are excited to be able to be part of bringing it to Korea’s incredible audiences.
‘Sound City are grateful to Arts Council England and British Council for their support for ‘Sound City Korea’ at Zandari Festa.’
The participating acts were chosen by the PRS for Music Foundation, Generator, PledgeMusic, Liverpool International Music Festival and Sentric Music.
