Sony/ATV Music Publishing has announced David Ventura is now the sole head of UK A&R as senior executive Janice Brock resigns.

The pair were promoted to the newly-created position of joint head of A&R of the publisher’s UK business in May last year.

Brock has now stepped down to pursue alternative avenues within the music business.

Brock joined Sony/ATV’s New York office in 2007, working under chairman and chief executive Martin Bandier.

She relocated to London in 2008, taking on the role of senior vice president, UK operations, before being made vice president of international and A&R, and then later, director of UK A&R.

Artists Brock has signed and worked with include Kasabian, Naughty Boy, Mikky Ekko, Fraser T Smith, Maverick Sabre and Krept & Konan.

Sony/ATV said it like to thank Janice for her long and dedicated service at the company and wishes her well in her future career.
