Matthews has been nominated in the Music Broadcaster of the Year Category alongside Cullum, while Lauren Laverne features in the Music Personality of the Year and Best Music Programme categories. She will be up against fellow broadcasters Cocker and Wood in the latter category.
Overall, women will contest a record number of awards this year, with Laverne, Matthews, Victoria Derbyshire, Becky Milligan, Kate Lawler, Michelle Livesey and Suzy Klein all up for gongs.
Meanwhile, Classic FM, Radio 5 live and BBC Asian Network are all nominated for the UK Station of the Year accolade.
