Iconic dance music label Skint Records is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new boxset and re-issues from its back catalogue.
The first release will Fatboy Slim’s classic album Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars.
20 Years of Being Skint, a 3CD package of new, classic and unheard material from Skint Records’ artists including Midfield General, Lo-Fidelity Allstars and X-Press 2, will be released in the summer.
BMG, which acquired the Brighton-based dance label last year, will be working with the Kartel Music Group on the project.
BMG’s Didier Dehauteur told Music Business Worldwide: ‘The Skint catalogue is a real gem, and BMG is determined to doing it proper justice with this reissue campaign.
‘We are very impressed by Kartel’s great enthusiasm and commitment to deliver this project.’
Skint will also be releasing an exclusive, limited edition four vinyl bundle through PledgeMusic. Visit the PledgeMusic website to find out more and back the release.
