The Shires are the biggest selling British country act of 2015 with their debut LP Brave.

According to the Official Charts Company (OCC), the UK duo featuring Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle, made chart history when they released the album in March last year.

They became the first British country act to land a top ten album in the charts after entering at number ten.

Brave finishes ahead of some major country music acts, including singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves, who takes second place with Pageant Material.

The album peaked at number 11 on the Official Albums Chart in 2015 and was nominated for Best Country Album at this year’s Grammys.

According to the Official Charts, US group Zac Brown Band take the number one best-selling song with their song Homegrown, with The Shires’ All Over Again coming in second.
