Music industry support network Shesaid.so has announced that it will now be taking applications for it’s 2018 mentoring scheme.

She.grows 001 focusses on supporting women in the industry by matching fellow music industry professionals together to help one another grow and succeed in their careers.

Each mentor and mentee will be chosen for the programme based up the objectives and aims of the mentee and the career stage of the mentor.

Shesaid.so aims to select 100 women in the industry to create 50 pairs of mentors and mentees.

Launching a pilot of the scheme in 2017 with 22 pairs of women, the matched pairs meet regularly throughout the period of mentorship to discuss their work and provide support, ensure mentees are succeeding in their chosen career.

40 of these pairs will be selected from all sectors of the UK music industry, five will feature mentees based in India as part of a ‘virtual mentoring scheme’ and the remaining five pairs will feature mentors who previously spoke on panels curated by Sonos and Shesaid.so in 2018.

Successful applicants and matched pairs will be announced on September 17th, with the programme officially kicking off on September 24th.

Applications for the scheme will close on August 1st at midnight.

Head to the Shesaid.so website to apply for either a mentor or mentee position.
