Bosco Ramos, Emer Maguire, Petty Youth, Search Party and Vokxen are among the acts chosen for the Oh Yeah Centre’s Scratch My Progress programme.

The talent development initiative will see the chosen artists participate in ten months of mentoring and support from the Belfast music hub.

All acts will receive recording studio time, a professional photo shoot, vocal coaching and training in copyright, licensing, stagecraft, PR and digital marketing.

Scratch My Progress is supported by the PRS for Music Foundation, The Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Help Musicians UK.

Charlotte Dryden, Scratch Project Manager and incoming chief executive officer, said: ‘Five years on and five new acts. The standard of applications was so high that we had to expand the programme.

‘The acts are all very different and it will be exciting to see how they develop with our help. We are delighted to be the official Talent Development Partner of the PRS for Music Foundation and we have the continued support of Help Musicians UK.'

Vanessa Reed, PRS for Music Foundation executive director, said: ‘I’m delighted to see Oh Yeah Centre’s very successful Scratch My Progress scheme embarking on its fifth year. As one of our Talent Development Partners, Oh Yeah Centre plays a pivotal role supporting and developing some of the most talented emerging music creators in Northern Ireland, and Scratch My Progress is a perfect example of how their work is having a real impact. I’m looking forward to following the progress of these five supported artists over the next ten months.’

Previous artists to take part include Hot Cops, R51 and Go Wolf.
