, a re-envisioning of John Coltrane’s masterpiece, will be performed on the Summer Soltsice - 21 June at The Chapel Kings College, The Strand in London.
The project, led by journalist and publisher Paul Bradshaw and assisted by PRS for Music Foundation, sees flautist Rowland Sutherland following in the footsteps of both John and Alice Coltrane, incorporating instrumentation from different cultural and spiritual traditions and extending and re-imagining the 4 parts of the Suite - Acknowledgement, Resolution, Pursuance, Psalm.
Jazz Warrior Orphy Robinson is the projects musical director, leading a stellar list of UK musicians including Ansuman Biswas, Ade Egun Crispin Robinson, Byron wallen and Nikki Yeoh.
There will be two performances of A Love Supreme - 7.30 and later at 9.30pm.
