20 year old garage and house producer Route 94 has hit the UK number one spot with My Love featuring Clean Bandit collaborator Jess Glynne.
The electronic producer’s release knocked Pharrell William’s Happy off the top spot while Clean Bandit’s Rather Be slipped to number three after topping the charts for four weeks earlier in the year.
Jess Glynne’s collaboration with the classical/electronic act is the biggest selling single of 2014 so far, according to Official Charts Company (OCC) statistics.
On achieving this week's number one, Route 94 said: ‘I didn’t see it coming. I’m absolutely over the moon! I never thought ‘I’m gonna write a massive number one or a pop hit’, or whatever, I just wrote it, and what happened just happened.
‘I’ll be celebrating by going out for some food with my girlfriend and then throwing a massive party, so everyone come and get involved!’
Elsewhere in the singles charts, Lily Allen is back with the week’s second highest new entry with Air Balloon at number seven.
Magic, the first single from Coldplay’s upcoming sixth album, Ghost Stories, is new in at number ten.
While Happy from Pharrell Williams dropped a place in the singles chart, his latest album G I R L has given him his first number one album.
