The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford and Sons have been named as this year’s Glastonbury headliners.

It will be the first time that the Stones have performed at the festival in their year 50-year plus history as a band.

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards said: ‘We all had such a ball last year, and the energy between the band is so good. We can’t wait to play Glastonbury, see you on a summer’s day in England!’

A whole host of acts have been announced as part of the first wave of artists lined up to head to Worthy Farm in Somerset at the end of June.

Primal Scream, Dizzee Rascal, The Weeknd, Vampire Weekend, Elvis Costello, Billy Bragg, recent M magazine cover star Laura Mvula and Chic Ft. Nile Rodgers are among hundreds of artists performing.

The festival takes place between 26 – 30 June 2013.
