Ringo Starr has signed a worldwide publishing deal with BMG covering his entire solo catalog spanning almost 50 years, as well as future compositions.
The deal features over 150 tracks from The Beatles drummer and multi-platinum solo recording artist, including his songwriting contributions with The Beatles on track such as What Goes On, Flying and Maggie Mae.
As a solo artist, Starr – who was recently honored with a knighthood for his services to music and charity work – has released 19 studio albums, featuring chart-topping singles including It Don't Come Easy, Photograph, You're Sixteen and Back Off Boogaloo.
In September last year, he released his 19th studio album, Give More Love, which featured his former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney playing bass on two tracks as well as backing vocals.
In a post on the BMG website, Starr said: 'I love making music and the songwriting process - and putting new music out there to play alongside the old. How great to be working with BMG who are excited to have my entire catalog.'
