This is the missive from Turner Prize-winning artist and musician Martin Creed, as he invites the entire nation to welcome the London 2012 Olympic Games by ringing any kind of bell at 8:12am on 27 July for Work No. 1197, All The Bells.
Endorsed by the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad campaign and Boris Johnson himself, the idea is to get the nation making as much noise as possible, from the Northern-most inhabited home in the Shetland Islands to cathedrals up and down the country.
Anyone can take part in this fun and accessible music project; from cyclists with bicycle bells, people will door bells, to anyone with a mobile phone (the official All The Bells ringtone is free to download).
In fact, the Mayor of London had this to say about the important cultural event:
Anyone can get involved, and individuals, charities, and organisations are being encouraged to sign up at http://www.allthebells.com/
The event will be broadcast by the BBC on TV, radio and online, including BBC Radio 2 and BBC Breakfast. You can also join in the fun using the hashtag #dingdong on Twitter.

'This Friday at 08:12 I wholeheartedly urge people up and down the land to help create a joyous and noisy prelude to what is set to be an historic day. Whether you’ve got a bicycle bell or something much grander, this is an opportunity to mark a once in a lifetime occasion. This is a wonderfully innovative project and I am delighted to support it.'
