Synthpop band Chapel Club is offering fans the opportunity to remix the title song of their new album - and sell the results.
The five piece are inviting fans to download the stems of their new song Good Together, create their own remix, then self-release their creation via online outlets such as Tunecore.
All remixers will own the recording rights and are entitled to revenue from its sales - the Chapel Club still own the publishing rights and ask for acknowledgement as songwriters.
The band are also encouraging remixers to submit their songs to Peter Gabriel’s Cue Songs for any potential syncing opportunities with computer games or adverts – although the band has final say on which syncs are allowed.
In a statement, Lewis Bowman, frontman of the band, said: ‘We thought Good Together made the most suitable candidate for a remix project because it’s ten minutes long and has lots of parts to play with – and also because the extended end section began life as a kind of live remix of our own.
‘We can only do this because we're on the eve of signing a new record deal, so get to it while you still have the chance.’
Aspiring remixers can access the stems from the Chapel Club website.
