The partnership will see Sony Music distributing digital and physical product from all of the label’s roster, including Twin Atlantic and Blitz Kids, around the world except Japan.
It builds on an existing partnership, established in 2007, which saw Sony Music/RED distribute Red Bull Records’ product across North America.
The first album to be released under the deal is AWOLNATION’s Run, which will be released on 17 March.
Joe Calitri, Red Bull Records senior vice president, global artist and label development, said: ‘Over the years we’ve formed an incredible association with RED North America and more recently with Sony Music Australia, where we are approaching double platinum with Itch’s first single Another Man.
‘Expanding our relationship was the next logical step in strengthening our global reach and in the overall evolution of Red Bull Records. We couldn’t be more excited to work with the Sony teams around the world.’
