Record Store Day (RSD) is back for 2018 and has announced that its 11th annual event will take place on 21 April.

The event has become one of the most exciting dates in the calendar for vinyl fans, and its 10th birthday celebrations in 2017 saw limited edition vinyl releases from over 500 artists, available exclusively in over 200 participating stores.

Details of this year's event follows news that the vinyl revival helped contribute to a historic surge of music consumption in the UK in 2017, with over four million LPs purchased – marking a decade of consecutive growth to levels not seen since 1991.

Releases for RSD 2018 are set to be revealed in early March.

Last year, David Bowie’s Cracked Actor album and No Plan EP were the two best-sellers.

Shops and labels wanting to participate and bands who wish to perform on RSD can sign up here before 31 January.
