UK experimental rockers Radiohead have landed their sixth number one album with their ninth LP A Moon Shaped Pool.

The album, which was released last Sunday (8 May), achieved more than 50,000 combined chart sales during the week.

It is the group’s sixth number one full length record and follows in the success of OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows.

Elsewhere in the charts, grime MC Skepta has scored his first top 10 album, with his much anticipated album Konnichiwa going straight in at number two.

The rest of the top five featured Beyonce’s Lemonade, Views by Canadian hip hop artist Drake and Gregory Porter’s Take Me to the Alley.

According to the Official Charts Company, the latter’s album is the first time a jazz artist has been in the top five of the charts since Jamie Cullum with Catching Tales in 2005.

Other new album chart entries include French composer Jean Michel Jarre. He scores his seventh top 10 album with Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise at eight.
