PRS for Music has pledged its support to the inaugural Small Awards, a new initiative to champion the UK’s small business sector.
The collecting society will sponsor the Beat Goes On Award, which recognises the innovative and creative use of music in a small business.
Applicants are required to demonstrate how they have used music to drive growth, customer engagement and overall success.
Firms have until 31 March to enter the Small Awards, which has a total of 11 categories for high street firms, family businesses, digital-only offerings, as well as the top marketing campaign.
Judges include former business secretary Sir Vince Cable, former digital and culture minister Ed Vaizey and 2014 Apprentice winner Mark Wright.
All finalists will be invited to a black tie awards dinner in London on 25 May, with small businesses, experts and luminaries coming together for networking, food, drink and music.
