PRS for Music is heading to Edinburgh to host live showcase PRS for Music Presents and a workshop highlighting the importance of music to small businesses.
Taking place at Electric Circus on 15 September, the workshop will be presented in association with Small Business Saturday and see local business owners discussing how important music is for customers and staff.
This will be followed by PRS for Music Presents; a live gig featuring Fatherson, Holy Esque and Be Charlotte.
The panel is invite-only but will be live streamed via Periscope. PRS for Music Presents will be inviting music industry, members and licensees down to enjoy the amazing music some of their members are creating.
Paul Clements, PRS for Music’s commercial director, said: ‘PRS for Music is extremely excited to be bringing two events to Edinburgh next month.
‘Working with one of our key partners, Small Business Saturday, who are as passionate as we are about celebrating small businesses, we will be speaking to some of our key customers about the positive impact music has for both their customers and staff as well as the incredible benefits using music in the right way has overall. This will be followed by the latest in our PRS for Music Presents series showcasing some of our members and amazing local talent headlined by Glasgow band, Fatherson.’
Previous artists to have played PRS for Music Presents stage include Ghostpoet, PEACE and Rag N Bone Man.
Small Business Saturday UK is a grass roots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.
PRS for Music’s Inspire workshop and the PRS for Music Presents show are both invite only.
