Anjunabeats, Throwing Shade and Defected Records will be among the speakers at PRS for Music’s panels at the Brighton Music Conference (BMC).
This year’s conference will take place at Brighton’s Dome 27-28 April and feature a range of speakers, panellists, industry showcases and much more, all exploring the challenges and opportunities for dance music.
PRS for Music will host two panels at the event. The first, From Grassroots To Mainstream: Earning A Living From Music, will take place on 28 April at the Academy Theatre from 11.30-12.30pm.
This session will feature Jarrod Bird (publishing manager, Involved Publishing/Anjunabeats), DJ and producer Throwing Shade as well as Bhavesh Patel from the PRS Foundation discussing revenue streams for music creators.
Music Recognition Technology: How Does It Work For You? will be held at the Professional Theatre on 28 April from 4-5pm.
Yuri Dokter (Founder/CEO, DJ Monitor), Joel Stoner (content and label services representative at Soundmouse), Adrienne Bookbinder (publishing and repertoire manager at Defected Records) will be joined by PPL’s head of distribution Russell Chant in the session.
PRS for Music will also be hosting a networking drinks at the Block venue in Brighton on 27 April.
