PRS for Music Foundation is to host Momentum Day in Newcastle, a conference exploring how songwriters and bands can access funding.
Presented in collaboration with Generator and taking place on 12 September at the Toffee Factory, the event will see a series of panels and industry experts discussing how artists can prepare themselves to be ready for investment.
Feedy from Moshi Moshi, Joe Frankland from PRS for Music Foundation, Bob Allan from DIY plus Momentum Music Fund success story Boys Jump Ship will all appear to talk about their experiences and offer insight.
Panels include an introduction to funding, how to build momentum and a Q&A session.
The fund has invested in over 120 diverse artists which include chart topping pop band, Years & Years, breakthrough electronic artist Låpsley and the critically acclaimed Ghostpoet.
The Momentum Music Fund was launched in 2013 and is a partnership between the PRS Foundation and Arts Council England, in association with Spotify.
